If we don’t invite the oppressed, then we are doing it wrong.

The best events create a gathering space for brilliance. Conversation overflows off the stage and out into the lobby, where attendees, who’ve been attracted to the caliber of speakers and discussion topics, contribute as much, if not more, to the success of the event as the agenda. What’s even better is when the location supports this spontaneity and lingering.
At DevConnect, d:pact was one of these events. Both intimate and expansive, MetaCartel and friends spoke on panels and shared outdoor tables, with coffee, beer and laptops.
A multi story building, fondly called the library, which hosted multiple events, had a similar effect, with its rows of books and large wooden tables. It encouraged closeness and contemplation.
A sustainable network has an ability to constantly redefine itself in response to the world.

As we came together for Devconnect, we recognize that many of us participated virtually. With the support of MetaCartel🌶 and Purple DAO💜, let’s celebrate the ways that we connect, especially when circumstances provide challenges for sharing space.
Not all of us could be at Devconnect, but we are committed to remaining connected. With the generous support of Gitcoin Grants Stack💚, let’s recognize the public goods that help us come together, however that looks.
This collaboration was coordinated by MetaCartel grant recipient, Chones. Learnings will be shared with anyone interested.

MetaCartel cares about you. Do you care about us? How much vulnerability will we risk? Will you share how you feel?
A transmission, from the new Open Machine, breaks down the game theory of the prisoner’s dilemma from the perspective of lovers. Now the damn thing is relatable!

There’s been lots of talk about Network States, but what’s state got to do with it? Personally, I appreciate breakfast, with friends, that lasts hours, and then moves on to an impromptu workshop, in a bookstore, while celebrating a solar orbit. Or, maybe, I’m just feeling lucky. Do you?
